Monday..what a fun day!

Monday started out Sunday night with a dead computer! The motherboard went bad in our computer late Sunday night. I was hoping it was the power supply, but, a great new find, Farnes computer repair, who just happens to be a block away from the house, came over in the afternoon with two new power supplys, plugged both in and “no bueno”! A quick test later and the diagnosis was in, dead motherboard! Now, I had to decide to either fix this one or get a new computer. I got a new Dell Inspiron 620. Last night, I swapped the hard drive from the old computer in, added a cd/dvd burner from our old computer, and then, installed the proper drivers, and we are up and running! Although this computer has 6 gb of memory, I have ordered two 4 gb memory sticks to get a total of 8 gb for the computer. This computer certainly is faster and a lot quieter than the old one was!

As you can see, a 9:54 pace for 2.5 miles. It looks like now, a 6 mph pace is good. 7 or 8 mph is very easily possible in the near future. We are in the process of looking for some races, a 5K first to actually get some real world running experience in. This rain is horrible as everything is flooded.

Tomorrow will be another 2 miles on the treadmill and a leg workout.
