I am still hovering around the 1,300-1,500 calorie intake. It also appears, as though 50 carbs is the magic number. Anything over that and I feel tired and somewhat bloated, even if the foods are supposedly, gluten-free.

Today, I was in search of a camera case and so, we¬†ventured¬†out to the Coral Springs mall. According to information online, Sears was supposed to have the case I wanted. The case I need has to have a¬†Velcro¬†flap as well as a stitched in belt strap as the ones¬†with¬†zippers are a pain to operate and the cases with snap straps, the snap has a habit of becoming¬†unsnapped¬†at the most inopportune moments..either in an attic or on a roof! No case was¬†physically¬†present¬†at Sears. ūüė¶ However, I did find two water shedding¬†running¬†shirts on sale! Kohls was our next stop and Teala got a pair of Asics shoes for her running adventure with 15% off! As we exited Kohls,¬†there¬†was a belt kiosk at¬†the¬†entrance and as my belt is running out of holes and starting to¬†break, a new belt was found for $13.00! So far, a very rewarding outing!

Then came the giant-sized Polar Cup and¬†caramel¬†popcorn! It has been so long since I had a Polar Cup, I forgot how good they were. The little bits of rind and pulp mixed in¬†with¬†the lemon slush…ahhh..a trip down memory lane to the days when the Polar Cup truck would¬†peruse¬†the neighborhood and instead of ice cream, this was somehow considered healthier! The only thing I could think of that would have made this better would have been some Vodka!

Next was a trip to our local Super Target in search of the elusive camera case. As we tried to get out of the house early in order to avoid the¬†alleged¬†tornadoes that are heading our way, according to the local “blood and guts” news station, I forgot to take something out for dinner. A whole chicken has been obtained so dinner is taken care of. Unfortunately, no camera case was to be found!

After we got home, my feet of all things were hurting. It appears my recently purchased shoes for just walking around, have caused two large¬†calluses¬†to form on both feet. Now I have to send these back to Zappos and get another pair of shoes! ūüė¶ The good news is that at least my knee has simmered down. A tall glass of wine helped in that area. The weight was still at the magic 230 pounds, and I suspect, after the morning round of golf tomorrow, weather permitting, I¬†should¬†break into the 220s!

The food diary will be posted tomorrow morning prior to golf and hopefully, some of the short game work and a bucket of balls in the morning before the round, should help me get  back into the 80s on the scorecard.

On a side note,¬†congratulations¬†to Jen and Paul Upton for setting personal bests in the Murray Half Marathon. Jen ran a 2:14.15 time and Paul came in at 1:39!!! Great job guys! ūüôā ūüôā
