Today, started off with a beautiful sunrise, or so it seemed. Red flares shooting out of theĀ horizon. “Red skies at night sailors sky in the morning, golfers take warning”!

The round of golf this morning was one of those rounds that you just want to end. The ugliness is posted below.

Again, we started off the back and I was at 41 entering the ninth hole (18). Three balls in the water later………….and a not so stellar 10! šŸ˜¦

As is usuallyĀ theĀ case, I finish stronger than I start and had a chance onĀ theĀ last hole to make par, but, the nagging “three-putt”Ā nemesisĀ reared its ugly head…again! As I had plenty of energy left, I decided to go to the range and putting green and work on a few areas of my game. An hour later, time to go home.

The morning diet of four sausages for breakfast, followed by a shake after nine holes of golf, seems to be the right formula to have enough fuel to get through the round. No weigh-in over the weekend!

Just as I am sitting down to relax, the wife calls and says Marshall wants to come home from shopping. He has a 102 degree temperature. A little cold wash cloth to the head, someĀ Tylenol, and his fever broke. Looks like we dodged that bullet!

Monday will be the beginning of the transfer ofĀ trainingĀ to mostly running. I will up the time to 45 minutes on the treadmill and then the regular Monday, Wednesday, and Friday workouts. On Tuesday and Thursday, I will use the stationary bike as a warm up, then leg workouts.

I feel as though my body is starting to get used to the running as I haven’t had any leg pain to speak of in the last two weeks.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and until next week………………………”RunĀ ForrestĀ Run”! šŸ™‚
