Not just another Word Press blog!

Sunday…at last!

While most lay slumbering in their beds all toasty and cozy, I am up performing my morning ritual at 5:30 am. I love the early morning as it is the time of the day I have peace and quiet. Today being Sunday, it was time to wander off to Crystal Lake for my second weekend back at the Sunday foursome. On the way to the course, I have to head due east, which is great because I get to see the beginnings of the sunrise. One of my favorite times of day, sunset being the other!

It would have been much nicer, had no cars or streetlights been present!

The round itself could have been better as the 96 was a step in the wrong direction from last weeks 91! Apparently, the conditions may have had something to do with the play, as everyone in the group didn’t have their “A” game! Fortunately, my partner did enough and we squeaked out a victory!

We started off the back,10th hole, and the front 9 was respectable. The back on the other hand, a combination of weather and fatigue, conspired to create the 51 on the back side. 😦 The good news, another round with no lost balls and no broken parts! It would appear as though the week caught up to me and I faded down the stretch, which isn’t my norm. This week I plan on paying a visit to the range once or twice to get my putting in order as the 8 three-putts cost me dearly on the scorecard.

The food diary will be posted later on tonight as it is Taco day. Perhaps I will over-indulge and have a margarita or three!

Tomorrow begins the trim-down portion of my workouts as my chest and arms are just about where I want them to be. No need to add more muscle there. The next month of workouts will focus on building strength in my legs and also endurance. I am pretty sure that I have turned the corner as far as the injuries go. The shoe situation is squared away and once I am warmed up, I should be able to  get progressively better with regards to my running and the ability to go further.

I was going to mow the lawn today, but I will save it for tomorrow. I feel as though I need some rest!

The weight has creeped up to 236 pounds, but next week, that should begin to reverse it self as most of the strength exercises will be turned into cardio in the coming weeks. If anyone needs me…I’ll be on the back patio relaxing!

Have a great Sunday!!

Here is the food diary from Sunday:
